What's New

We are halfway through what has been the most creatively fulfilling year of my career and things are not slowing down. At the start of spring, I became a member of Hero Theatre Company and had the privilege of performing "Hell No!" from The Color Purple as part of the Hero Song Cycle Cabaret. This company does an incredible job of centering artists of color and mentoring youth in our community. Check them out and donate here. The Girl in the Red Dress was completed and will be screened and

submitted to festivals. In the meantime, you can watch the trailer here. I had a photo shoot with the lovely Réchard François of

Çoisve Photography. Check out photos here.

In April, I was featured (ever so briefly) in the music video for The National's "Light Years" starring Academy Award Winner Alicia Vikander and directed by Academy Award Nominee Mike Mills. The full short film I Am Easy to Find is available to stream. Watch "Light Years" hereMy short one act play They Know Not What They Do was performed as part of Sacred Fools' ninth installment of their We The People reading series. Tickets benefitted California Common Cause.

In May, I had the honor of performing a few songs in a memorial celebrating the life of the brilliant Maria Irene Fornes with Hero Theatre. I also had a fun '50s and '70s inspired photoshoot with photographer Christopher Montgomery. View photos hereJust Roommates is now an official selection of the 2019 Webisode Film Festival! In June, we filmed Episode 4 ("Invasion of Privacy"), directed by Tiffany Tynes, shot by Corey Turner, and edited by Alex Gonzales. Watch the episode here and be sure to like and subscribe! It will also be available to stream on Amazon. Follow Another Funny One Productions here. Check out the imdb here

I am currently performing with Independent Shakespeare Company in their annual Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival. I am playing Marina in Pericles and Valentine in Twelfth Night. Getting to work with such incredible artists is nothing short of a dream. Read the glowing Pericles Stage Raw review here and the LA Times Twelfth Night review here. Check out character shots here and production photos hereWorking with this incredible company is such a gift! Indyshakes offers FREE Shakespeare all summer to over 40,000 Angelenos of all ages and backgrounds. Not only does this company bring dynamic theater to our community, but they also hold outreach events, pre-show performances, pay their cast/creative team, and value true diversity over tokenism. Please contribute whatever you can here.
